Qiviuq [sg] or qiviut [pl] (/ˈkɪviət/ kiv-ee-ət; Inuktitut syllabics, ᕿᕕᐅᖅ; Inuinnaqtun, qiviuq;^[1] Inupiaq qiviu or qiviuq^[2] sometimes spelled qiveut) is an Inuit word commonly used to indicate the wool of the muskox. The word was originally used to refer to the down feathers of birds as well as the inner wool of the muskox.^[3] It is valued for its use as a fiber as, unlike sheep’s wool, it does not shrink in water at any temperature. (However, this means that it also is not useful for felting.) It is most commonly used for hats and scarves, and is among the softest wools. It is very expensive; a high quality knitted scarf can cost more than 300 U.S. dollars,^[4] but will last over 20 years with good care.

The muskox has a two-layered coat, and qiviut refers specifically to the soft underwool beneath the longer outer wool. The muskox sheds this layer of wool each spring. Qiviut is plucked from the coat of the muskox during the molt or gathered from objects the animals have brushed against; unlike sheep, the animals are not sheared. Much of the commercially available qiviut comes from Canada, and is obtained from the pelts of muskoxen after hunts. In Alaska, qiviut is obtained from farmed animals or gathered from the wild during the molt.

Qiviut is stronger and eight times warmer than sheep’s wool, and softer than cashmere wool. Wild muskoxen have qiviut fibers approximately 18 micrometres in diameter. Females and young animals have slightly finer wool.

You can’t just get some modifications and change the type of vehicle? Over here you can, at least.

Technically, its either registered as a commercial or personal vehicle. From there, there are two different codes. One is designated to business use (OB3K) the other is designated to pleasure use (OPU). Initially it made sense that I had to change it to OPU, but apparently that code doesn’t make shit of a difference to every single one of these insurers if it was ever registered as a commercial vehicle, which, according to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, cannot be changed.

I am so absolutely frustrated right now. I even talked to a hearse dealership and they are saying they have no idea why I cant find insurance and are willing to help me out.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WHEN IT HAS HAD SEVERAL PREVIOUS OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD IT INSURED
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WHEN ITS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND IS ONLY FOR PERSONAL USE??

Well, because its registered as a COMMERCIAL vehicle and the VIN is commercial, it can’t be changed to personal.
So why did I spend $10 changing the code from OB3K to OPU? After I was told that was what was necessary to insure a commercial vehicle under personal insurance?

And the VIN can’t be changed to personal. So why the fuck can commercial vehicles like pick up trucks be registered as commercial but insured as personal? Can someone explain this fucking bullshit to me and why I’ve spent several days contacting insurance companies, why I’ve been on the phone for almost four hours today trying to get a hold of somebody for insurance?

SERIOUSLY I’M GIVING THEM $2000+ A YEAR ITS LIKE THEY DONT EVEN WANT MY MONEY AND THE FUCKING CAR IS JUST GOING TO BE DRIVEN UNTIL ITS WRITTEN OFF ANYWAY WHATS THE BIG FUCKING DEAL

These aren’t a specific breed of cattle. If you look up “show cattle” you’ll come across quite a few different breeds that have this kind of coat, or similar. They’re referred to as “hairy”..

Here’s a bunch from the Hueber site

You can have this coat with Angus, Herefords.. doesn’t matter. They’re bred to look this way. And the original poster made a comment about them being double bred composite Charolais, but Charolais is just another breed of cattle.
